INTRODUCTION

The Victoria School National Education Web Design Competition (NEWDC) 2008 is officially launched.

The theme selected for this year’s competition is ‘ Youths ’.
(Details are posted under ‘Information’).

Our objectives this year are:

• To engage students in learning and understanding more about Youths. This is inline with the National Education objectives.
• To promote interest among primary school students to design web pages nd create web content, as the Internet increasingly becomes an important mode of communication and a prominent resource for information, allowing them to learn more about technology in an IT oriented environment.
• To develop teamwork, co-operation and leadership together with communication skills among primary school students.
• To cultivate creativity and thinking skills in primary school students.

  We have identified the major server error that was causing problems in viewing the competition website and registering for the competition via online. We have patched the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

  The registration and submission deadlines have been extended. Now you can register your team and submit your entry at the same time! Registration and Submission deadline will be on the 26th July 2008, 5pm. Several other important dates have also been adjusted. Please check the schedule!
